“NTR university shouldn’t be renamed”: Sharmila

YS Sharmila has responded to the name change of the NTR health university. It is known that YS Sharmila is doing Padayatra in Telangana and she recently crossed the 2,000 KM milestone. The Padayatra will continue till December 2022. YS Sharmila during her Padayatra has responded to the burning issue in Andhra Pradesh.

It is known that YS Jagan and his government have decided to change the name of the NTR health university to YSR health university. This created a row as TDP has held protests across the state. All the TDP MLAs who were suspended yesterday from the assembly were marshaled out of the house.

YS Jagan justified his actions and said that he has no intention to degrade NTR’s name but the health university in the name of YSR who is a doctor by himself and treated the poor for just Rs. 1 is more justified.

YS Sharmila’s during her Padayatra said that the university shouldn’t be renamed. “It is a wrong decision. It creates more confusion. For whatever reason they named it, one should continue it to respect them. If you change, there will be no sanctity,” she said.
