Incessant rains in Telangana over the past few days meant that the Krishna and Godavari rivers are flowing full throttle. The major projects in both the river basins reach the Full Reservoir Level (FRL). Sriram Sagar, Sripada Yellampally, Nizam Sagar, Singur, and Lower Manair Dam, the major projects on the Godavari have received huge inflows and have reached almost full level.
On the other hand, Krishna basin too, all the major projects almost reached the full level and the authorities are keeping a close tab on them. With the heavy inflows, Srisailam Dam touched 884.80 feet against the full level of 885 feet. It is similar to Nagarjuna Sagar dam, Narayanpur Project, and Almatti as well.
Authorities have started to release the water from these projects. They are trying to keep the situation under control.
