Darshanam Mogilaiah, a popular Kinnera instrument artist has won Padma Sri. He has been recently conferred with the “Padma Shri” Award on the 26th of this month, on Republic Day by the Central Government. Mogilaiah met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan yesterday who is happy that Mogilaiah has brought laurels to Telangana with his art.
KCR has decided to give a cash reward of Rs. 1 Crore to Darshanam Mogiliah. Along with the money, a plot will be allocated to the artist. The money will be spent to build a nice house for him. Mogiliah and his family have been struck with poverty for many years and this cash reward will definitely help them.
Darshanam Mogilaiah recently shot to fame with the title song of Bheemla Nayak in which Pawan Kalyan is playing the lead role. Even Pawan Kalyan has given Rs. 2 lakhs to the folk artist to aid him.
