Jana Sena has won only one constituency in the 2019 general elections. It is not the Jana Sena leader but Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao who has won the assembly elections contesting from the Razole constituency. However, he later became a rebel MLA as he switched loyalties with YSR Congress Party.
In the assembly sessions, Rapaka has praised Jagan to the sky level. “We need leaders like Jagan who understands the concerns of the common people. I wish he will continue to be the Chief Minister of the state for many years to come,” said Rapaka in the assembly.
These comments are made after YS Jagan sanctioned funds of Rs 17 crore, and additional funds of Rs. Rs 40 Lakhs for the construction of drains in Antarvedi. Rapaka has requested Jagan to show some generosity as the Antarvedi farmers are facing issues due to the lack of drains. Jagan has responded to the issue and sanctioned funds.
