Disha encounter victims’ families demand justice after ‘fake encounter’ commission report

The Supreme Court-appointed panel, Sirpukar Commission, has submitted its report and in it, they have termed the encounter fake. The 3-member panel committee has recommended the 10 Police officers who are involved in this fake encounter be tried for the offenses under Sections 302 (murder) read with 34 IPC, 201 read with 302 IPC, and 34 IPC. The commission report says that the Police Men opened fire with the intention to kill the victims.

Now, the victim’s family members have demanded that Telangana High Court, to whom the Supreme Court transferred the case, would do justice to them. The family members of the four accused and encountered have demanded a stringent punishment should be levied.

“We told the commission that if the accused has done any crime, they should be punished as per the law. In the name of instant justice, they have murdered them in a fake encounter,” the family members of the victims said.
