APSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Haranath Rao revealed the details of the incident that occurred today morning in Sri Sathya Sai district. A total of 7 persons were killed when high-tension wires fall on them while traveling in an auto. The high-tension wire broke on an auto going with laborers Chillakondayyapalli in Tadimarri zone of Sathyasai district in Andhra Pradesh.

Haranath Rao has revealed that the incident occurred due to the squirrel. He said that the squirrel jumped from the electric wire to the iron clamp on the pole. He further said during the squirrel scurry, a short circuit occurred and the wires got severed and fell on an auto.

He has announced that the families of the deceased will receive Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 2 lakhs will be given to the injured. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy who is on a Paris trip has expressed deep shock and inquired about the details of the incident.
