15Andhra Pradesh honorable speaker Tammineni Sitharam has suspended Telugu Desam Party MLAs as they aren’t allowing the house to conduct its business. It is the fourth consecutive day that the TDP MLAs have been suspended. Before the assembly sessions started, Telugu Desam party MLAs and MLCs reached the assembly and started their protest holding placards.
TDP MLAs and MPs have alleged that the YSRCP has been ignoring the welfare of the people and has also ignored the sub-plan funds for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes. TDP MLAs have also criticized the ruling party for withdrawing the Anna Canteens and have failed to implement the welfare schemes.
The MLAs started raising slogans at the speaker’s podium and despite repeated requests by the speaker to retire the TDP MLAs to retire to their seats, they continued their agitation. With this, the speaker has no option but to suspend the MLAs.
