The central government has given major relief to the citizens of India. It has reduced the petrol prices by Rs. 8 and the diesel prices were cut short by Rs. 6. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the reduction in oil rates. The announcement came from the government. “Reduction of Central Excise Duty on Petrol & Diesel. Central excise duty has been reduced by ₹ 8 per liter for Petrol and by ₹ 6 per liter for Diesel (by reducing Road & Infrastructure Cess),” the news came.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that it is always people first for them. “Today’s decisions, especially the one relating to a significant drop in petrol and diesel prices will positively impact various sectors, provide relief to our citizens, and further ‘Ease of Living,’ Narendra Modi’s tweet states.
However, these rates reduction will be a relief for sure but it is not going to give them complete stress-free as the prices have continued to soar since November 2021.
