Delhi Excise Policy Case: Manish Sisodia arrested again; this time by ED

Delhi Ex-Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested again. This time the arrest was made by the ED officials. It is known that he was arrested by CBI previously and he is in Tihar Jail. ED officials questioned Manish Sisodia for hours and now was taken into custody. This was interesting as Manish’s bail hearing petition was tomorrow in the CBI court. He was accused of corruption in the Delhi Excise Policy Case.

Now, he will be produced in court tomorrow, the same day his bail hearing will come up. It is known that Sisodia was kept in Tihar jail under judicial custody after the CBI’s custody ended. He was arrested by the CBI on February 26th.

AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the arrest. He tweeted, “Manish was first arrested by the CBI. CBI did not find any evidence, and no money was found in the raid. There is a bail hearing tomorrow. Manish would have been released tomorrow. So today ED arrested him. They have only one aim – to keep Manish inside at all costs. By creating new fake cases every day. The public is watching. public will answer.”
