Both the AP and Telangana BJP Presidents have been removed from the posts and new names were announced as well. The key development in front of the elections happened today. Before this decision, Somu Veerraju is the President of BJP in Andhra Pradesh, and Bandi Sanjay is his counterpart in Telangana.
Now, the central BJP has decided to change the leadership in both states. D Purandareshwari is set to replace Somu Veerraju in Andhra Pradesh while G. Kishan Reddy will be the new BJP chief in Telangana. He previously served as the state head of the BJP.
Initially, Satya Kumar who was the national secretary of BJP was considered for the post but Ex-Union Minister D Purandareshwari will take charge. Kishan Reddy is currently serving as a Union Minister and is set to take over the reins in Telangana. The official confirmation came a while back regarding the appointment of these posts.
