There will not be second H-1B cap lotteries for the fiscal year 2023 going by the recent developments. The immigration attorneys are reporting an issue of H-1B cap ‘non-selection’ notices which means that the lottery of the second H-1B visas is highly unlikely. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) had received 483,927 H-1B cap E-registrations for the current season. The immigration department has selected 127,600 registrations that complete the annual quota of the H-1B visa.

The managing attorney at immigration.com said that USCIS has electronically issued several ‘non-selection’ notices which only means that there will not be any more lotteries. With the annual quota reached, there is no need for a second lottery. However, there is no official announcement from the USCIS yet.
