The White House has revealed that the Joe Biden administration is aware of the visa appointment delays for Indians and the work is in progress.  White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the press, “We are still working to respond to the significant demand for these visa services” which is currently taking more than 1,000 days.

She said that the government is working hard to reduce the delays which occurred due to the recovery from the COVID-related closures, staffing issues, etc.,

Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The work is still in progress. We are successfully lowering visa interview wait times and also we’ve doubled our hiring of US Foreign Service personnel.”

She concluded it by saying this year we expect to reach pre-pandemic levels.
