Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s United States visit continues. This is the first time that Modi had an invitation for a state visit which is very rare and prestigious for the US. Modi received a warm welcome from New York when he arrived in Washington on Thursday. The presidential couple Joe Biden and Jill Biden cordially invited Modi to the White House. They exchanged gifts and had dinner as well. Later, Modi addressed the American House of Representatives for an hour.
Prime Minister Modi said that there should be no second thoughts in dealing with terrorism. He indirectly addressed Pakistan to take action against those who promote terrorism. He stated that two decades have passed since the 9/11 attacks and even though a decade has passed since the 26/11 attacks, radicalism, and terrorism are still dangerous to society.
Modi also launched an indirect attack on China. Modi said that the global order depends on respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter, peaceful settlement of disputes, respect for sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
