More than 400 women participated in the American Telugu Association (ATA)’s Women’s Day Celebrations. The event happened on a grand scale n the state of Virginia on Saturday, March 5th. The 17th ATA Conference Women’s Forum Team Leaders Deepika Bujala, Aparna Kadari, Prashanthi Muthyala, Rajani Paduru, Dr. Srilekha Palle, Vijaya Dondeti, Padma Putrevu, and others have graced the occasion as chief guests.

ATA is the first Telugu association to start celebrating International Women’s Day. Now, the association has celebrated its 10th anniversary at this event as well. Dr. Sarojana Banda, an author who has written Telugu textbooks and rendered many services to the Telugu language, Former TDF president Kavitha Challa, former CATS president Sudha Rani Kondapu, GWTCS president Saisudha Paladugu, Pilu TV president Avantika Nakshatram and Anita Muthoju were honored for their service to Telugu communities.

ATA conference organizers Jayant Challa, Ravi Challa, Shravan Paduru, Ravi Bojja, Amarpashya, Hanimi Vemireddy, Kaushik Sama, Satish Vaddi, Bhaskar Bommareddy, and Ramana Reddy were present at the event and have addressed the people and said that with the similar enthusiasm everyone should attend the 17th ATA Conference and Youth Convention to be held in Washington, DC on July 1, 2 and 3 and make it successful.
