Narayana Pirlamarla’s condolence meet

Narayana Pirlamarla (75), founding member of ATA, passed away on April 2nd at his home in Freehold, NJ. Born in Ismail Khan Peta, Telangana, Narayana Pirlamarla moved to America in 1973. He lived in various places in New York City before settling in Freehold, NJ in 1986 with his wife, Dr. Jyoti Pirlamarla. He worked as an accountant for over 25 years in the Office of the Inspector General in New York until his retirement.

Narayana was compassionate and socially conscious person. He was always ready to help those who came to him. The reason for his success can be attributed to his family. His friends say that Narayana Pirlamarla was a great family man, he was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather.

Narayana was passionate about building Indian and Telugu societies. He was a founding member of the American Telugu Association. One of their first members of the Board of Trustees. He also served as treasurer. Narayana loves traveling. He was survived by his wife Dr. Jyoti Pirlamarla, brothers Vithal Pirlamarla, Ram Gupta, sister Pushpa Vemula, daughters Dr. Preeti Pirlamarla, Bindu Pirlamarla and her husband Daniel York. Grandsons, Kavi, Kiran, brothers Shekhar Pirlamarla and Krishna Pirlamarla.

Narayana Pirlamarla’s condolence program was organized on April 10th at the local Royal Albert Palace by the American Telugu Association (ATA). A large number of ATA working group, well-wishers and NRI friends attended this program and paid tribute to Narayana.
