The Malaysian government has announced visa-free travel for the Indian citizens. In its new rules and regulations, Malaysia is going to stall the visa requirements for the citizens of India and China visiting their country. These new rules will be coming into effect starting December 1st, 2023. The visa-free arrival would stay for up to 30 days. However, it is said that the visa arrival would be subject to security screening.

With this, Malaysia became the fourth country to announce visa-free entry for Indians after Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Thailand. This decision was made to bulk the economic growth by encouraging tourism.

Earlier this month, Vietnam announced the same for Indians. Prior to India, nationals of Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Finland could travel to their country visa-free.

In October, the Thai government announced that they are going to allow Indian tourists in their country without visas. This will be for a period of six months starting November 10th this year.
