After scoring his first hit with Most Eligible Bachelor, Akhil Akkineni is coming before the audiences with the flick Agent. The movie is a spy thriller with loads of action incorporated into it. The Agent carried good buzz a few months back but the team failed to sustain the buzz. Agent is releasing tomorrow with low buzz and the pre-sales are not so encouraging though.
The only thing that can help the film is now positive word of mouth. The movie needs to get unanimous positive reports to pick up again. Akhil Akkineni tried to promote his film aggressively. He is confident about the product.
Agent has done a pre-release business of Rs. 36 Crores which is only behind his debut flick Akhil. We need to see whether the film can breach the breakeven. Agent is also competing with Mani Ratnam’s PS-2.
Directed by Surender Reddy, Mammooty played a crucial role in the movie and Sakshi Vaidya is the heroine.
