November, December, and January are the months when the devotees of the Ayyappa Swamy perform the rituals and visit the holy shrine of Sabarimala. The devotees will have a lot of rituals to observe when they are in the ‘maala’. Of all the rituals, Maha Padi Puja is the key and the Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple authorities in Edison, New Jersey organized the Maha Padi Puja (sastha preethi) for the Ayyappa Swamy devotees.
The event was organized on December 18th between 3 PM – 8 PM where the devotees performed different rituals like Sankalpam, Ganesh, Murugan puja, Special abhishekam to Ayyappa with Rudra Parayan, Samuhika sahasranamarchana to Swamy Ayyappa, Dhoop Aarti, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayan, Special Bhajans lead by SDP Ayyappa group.
The events were followed by Padi Aarti and Maha Prasadam, biksha to Ayyappas. The gents were asked to come to participate in the sastha preethi wearing dhoti and kanduva.
The reception is huge for the Maha Padi Puja as many devotees performed various rituals and served Lord Ayyappa. JSW and Jaiswaraajyatv advisory, UBlood founder Jai Yalamanchili has participated in the event along with Sai Datta Peetham founder, Chairman Raghu Sharma Shankaramanchi and Upendra Chivukula along with others as well and took the blessings of Ayyappa Swamy.
