Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat first in their first encounter in the Asia Cup. India is locking horns with Pakistan and this high-voltage entertainer promises so much fun as India and Pakistan are considered arch-rivals. India hasn’t picked Suryakumar Yadav who is yet to prove in the 50-over format and senior bowler Shami. Prasidh Krishna, Tilak Varma, and Axar Patel haven’t got the chance as well.

Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill will open the innings with Virat Kohli coming in at three. Shreyas Iyer who is back from an injury returns to the side. Ishan Kishan will play at five. Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur are the allrounders. Kuldeep Yadav, Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj are leading the bowling attack.

Pakistan on the other hand announced the playing XI a day before. India has a 7-5 advantage in the ODI format in the Asia Cup against Pakistan.
