Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan who is leading an anti-government long march towards Islamabad has been shot a while ago. Multiple news channels in Pakistan reported that multiple gunshots were fired at his reception camp in Gujranwala town.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that Imran Khan was shot in the leg and he has added that the other three leaders were also injured. Imran Khan was reportedly out of danger. Senior leader Faisal Javed Khan said that one of the injured had passed away.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and immediately called for a report on the incident. Imran Khan was quickly moved to another vehicle and was taken to a hospital. The Gunman who opened fire has been taken into custody.
