The first half of 2022 is coming to an end. In the six months, many films have been released. As the COVID has eased a bit, Telugu films have been released in a flurry however, the audiences have become critical of the rise in OTT content as well. As a result, the success percentage has dropped drastically.
For the six months, the Telugu Industry has only seen six hits and out of the 2 are dubbed versions. In January, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer Bangarraju was a success. Except for a very few areas, Bangarraju has been a profitable venture. Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer DJ Tillu was a surprise hit. It earned many profits for the investors.
In March, RRR exceeded the expectations and crossed Baahubali 2 in all the areas. It has become the highest grosser in all areas. Major was a successful venture which released in June. It handed over handsome profits to the investors involved.
KGF Chapter 2 and Vikram gave a huge relief to the distributors involved. Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Bheemla Nayak can be considered above averages as the Return of Investment is around 90 percent for both movies. The same is the case with F3. Films like Acharya and Radhe Shyam are huge disasters.
