YSRTP Chief YS Sharmila merged her party into Congress today. She is an official member of the Congress party now. This happened in the presence of Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. After joining the Congress party, Sharmila spoke with the media and said that her father YS Rajasekhar Reddy has always dreamt of seeing Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India.
“I will now work towards that goal, to fulfill my father’s dream,” said Sharmila. Responding to the media question whether she is willing to work in Andhra Pradesh, Sharmila said that she would work for the party wherever the high command orders to. “Not only AP, I will even go to Andaman and Nicobar Islands if my high command orders,” she said.
In other words, YS Sharmila would work and campaign against her brother YS Jagan, who is the head of YSRCP and also the present Chief Minister.
