National award-winning director Nag Ashwin is coming up with the movie Kalki 2898 AD which has Prabhas in the lead role. The movie is nearing completion and is scheduled for May 9th release. There are reports that the film might get postponed. In one of the interactions, Nag Ashwin revealed some interesting aspects of the movie.
He has revealed that Kalki 2898 AD spans over 6,000 years. The film starts during the Mahabharata period and ends in 2898 AD. Nag Ashwin was cautious of not revealing more at this point. The director also said that there is no reference of any Hollywood flick for Kalki 2898 AD and a massive time machine set was constructed in Shamshabad where the majority of the time travel episodes were shot.
Kalki 2898 AD demands extensive post-production work hence the delay. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead. Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and others played important roles. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer of the film.
