England picked up three spinners including two left-arm and a lone pacer in the name of Mark Wood for the first test against India that will played from tomorrow in Hyderabad. Rehan Ahmed is the legspinner in the tri-attack while the two left-arm spinners are Tom Hartley who is making his debut and Jack Leach. They left out the veteran James Anderson.

Here is the England’s XI for the Hyderabad test match:

Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, Jack Leach.

There will be a fourth spinning option for England in the form of Joe Root. It is a quite daring thing for England to trust their spinners to do the job and pick up a lone pacer. It has been confirmed that Ben Foakes will keep the wickets while Jonny Bairstow will play as a pure batter. Another spinner Shoaib Bashir hasn’t been considered as he didn’t reach India due to visa issues.
