In breaking news, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has resigned from the post. She will likely be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from BJP ticket. She also holds additional charge as Lt Governor of Puducherry. She resigned from this post as well.
Now that the election schedule is out, Tamilisai is preparing to be in the contest. The sources say that she will be contesting in Tamil Nadu from BJP. The exact constituency is yet to be known. Tamilisai has sent her resignation to Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
Soundararajan, who was Tamil Nadu BJP chief till 2019 and was appointed Telangana Governor in September 2019. Before serving as Governor, Tamilisai was in the BJP for over two decades and she is now all set to return to direct politics. In the 2019 elections, Tamilisai lost to DMK’s Kanimozhi by a huge margin in Thoothukudi.
