Aha Video and Sony Pictures going for a major deal? Well, we try to give clarity regarding this. Aha Video when it started made a big splash in the market. Prominent personalities like Allu Aravind, and My Home Rameshwar Rao were the major investors in the OTT platform. Aha Video acquired some real biggies at the start and they have started to produce Originals as well in addition to TV shows. Aha Video extended its wings to the Tamil market as well with the name Aha Tamil.
However, the OTT platform stared at losses and My Home stopped investing in the OTT platform. Aha Video has been trying to sell its majority stakes and the deal isn’t closed yet. There are fresh speculations that Sony Pictures is going to acquire Aha Video. However, an official confirmation came from Sony that the news was false.
Also, there are reports that Sun Pictures is now looking positive for the deal. The deal is speculated to be worth Rs. 1,500 Crores to Rs. 2,000 Crores.
