Against the new defense recruitment scheme, the protests continued for the third day as well. The protests started in Bihar on Thursday. A bogie has been set on fire and today the protests continued all over the nation. At Secunderabad railway station, the situation got out of control as the protestors acted in rage.

They set ablaze a bogie to East Coast Express and a huge fire rose. The fire caught up to Ajantha Express and an MMTS train stationed on the platforms. With no one in control, the protestors who were supposed to be from the All India Students Association (AISA) acted out of law and turned Secunderabad Railway Station into a mess in over 30 minutes.

Passengers who have no idea of what was happening started to run out of the station. Some people went missing. Some left their baggage at the station. Alerted by the situation, Railway Police and other officials reached the area and brought the situation under control by using tear gas. It is reported that the damage to the station will be huge.
