Adani group chairman Gautham Adani is the new name for Asia’s richest man. He took over Mukhesh Ambani, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Gautham Adani’s net worth stands at $88.5 billion, while Mukhesh Ambani’s net worth is at $87.9 billion.
Surprisingly, Adani’s net worth increased multifold in the Pandemic years. Adani’s investments, Adani Total Gas Ltd and Adani Transmission saw a huge jump of around 250 percent and 370 percent respectively. Adani groups’ major investments in Union government projects are also a key factor.
Mukhesh Ambani was the leading man in this richest chart in November 2021 but in three months’ time, Adani took over. Gautham Adani’s personal gain this year is around $12 billion and Mukhesh Ambani had a loss of around $2.07 billion.
