SS Rajamouli became a brand in the Telugu industry a long time ago. After Baahubali 1 and 2, he became a brand at the national level. Now, with RRR, Rajamouli established himself very well. Even top directors like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg appreciated the work of RRR.
SS Rajamouli during the promotions of RRR for the Oscars stated that the sequel plans are definitely on but the people never took it seriously and thought it could be a publicity stunt. But, SS Rajamouli is adamant to make a sequel. After Naatu Naatu won the Oscars, the director once again stated about it. “We will expedite RRR sequel plans,” Rajamouli said after winning the Oscars.
Now that the film has got much international acclaim, a sequel sounds like a good plan. However, it might not happen in the next few years as Rajamouli has Mahesh Babu’s project next.
