It’s been official now. Guna Sekhar’s periodic mythological drama Shaakunthalam stands postponed. The movie was scheduled for release on February 17th but now it has been postponed to another date. Shaakunthalam is being promoted as well but the reason behind this postponement is not known yet.
Gunaa Team Works has produced this movie and officially it has been updated. “The theatrical release of #Shaakuntalam stands postponed. The new release date will be announced soon
” This news was more or less confirmed unofficially many days back but it was officially updated today.
Shaakunthalam is based on Kalidas’s play of Mahabharat from Adi Parvam. Samantha plays the titular role while Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyanth. Allu Arha will be seen as Prince Bharata in the movie. Mani Sharma composed the music.
