2023 is fast flying and already a month got completed. The year started well for the Telugu Cinema as well. Sankranthi season played a key role in the superb returns for the month.
Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya was the winner of the month with the highest gross. Balakrishna‘s Veera Simha Reddy has done well too. Both these movies became the highest grosser in their respective careers. Both the films have reached breakeven and brought profits for the distributors and other parties.
The dubbed film Vaarasudu turned out to be an average grosser while the other Sankranthi release Thegimpu failed to make any impact. Another Sankranthi release Kalyanam Kamaneeyam sank without any trace.
For republic day eve, Sudheer Babu’s Hunt got released but failed to attract the audience. Pathaan on the other day has performed well in the Telugu States as well.
