Samantha will be seen in the titular role in the movie Shaakunthalam. The film had completed its shooting a long way back. Shaakunthalam is a mythological film that is based on Kalidas’s play Abhignana Shaakunthalam. Malayalam hero Dev Mohan will be seen as the pair of Samantha. He plays King Dushyanth.
The movie was initially scheduled for release on February 17th, 2023 but was postponed a few days back for unknown reasons. Now, the movie team came up with a fresh release date. Shaakunthalam will be released on April 14th, 2023.

” tweeted the production house Gunaa Team Works. Gunasekhar is the director of the movie which was made on a very lavish scale. A huge VFX work was involved in the making. Manisharma is the music director of the project.
