Nikhil’s latest movie 18 Pages touted to be a class romantic entertainer has received average ratings at the box office. The movie was expected to perform better despite the ratings as the movie comes a few months after the Karthikeya 2 release. However, 18 Pages was dismal with the collections. The movie collected Rs. 6-9 Crores gross at the Telugu States box office.
Even at the overseas box office, the film collected around $150K. To compare, Nikhil’s previous film Karthikeya 2 ended up at $1.6 Million and now 18 Pages will not collect even half of what the movie managed.
However, the 18 Pages team has boasted of reaching breakeven even before the movie’s release. That is because of the satellite and digital rights the film got due to the buzz. Directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, Anupama Parameswaran was paired with Nikhil in the movie. Sukumar has provided the story for the flick.
