Cast: Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran, and others
Director: Palnati Surya Pratap
Producer: Bunny Vas
Music Director: Gopi Sundar

Nikhil Siddhartha who is on a high after the super hit of Karthikeya 2 is coming within a few months with the rom-com 18 Pages. His Karthikeya 2 pair Anupama Parameswaran is the female lead. Sukumar has given the story.

Story:

Siddhu (Nikhil Siddhartha) was ditched by his girlfriend. As a result, he goes into depression. At the same time, he comes across the diary of Nandini (Anupama Parameswaran). Siddhu finds it intriguing and falls for the different thought processes of Nandini. He finds it inspiring as well. However, the diary is incomplete and Siddhu finds Nandini after a lot of searches.

A big twist is awaiting him. What is that? Will Siddhu and Nandini become one??

Performances:

Nikhil and Anupama appeared together in Karthikeya 2 a few months back. But there is a lot of difference in the performances of the duo. Especially, the chemistry is completely different. Without facing each other, there is this romantic bond that was created, and Nikhil, and Anupama has a major role to play in that aspect.

Nikhil has chosen a different script and does a neat job. He is too good in funny and emotional scenes equally. Anupama is natural in the role of Nandini. She is convincing in the role.

The likes of Ajay, Brahmaji, Posani Krishna Murali, etc., were apt in their respective roles though.

Technicalities:

Gopi Sundar is known for his soulful music. He has given a decent album. A couple of songs are good to hear and watch. The background music is decent as well. The production values are good. The editing is fine. The cinematography is good.

The writing by Sukumar is decent. He has given a soul-stirring romantic drama. However, the crime element introduced in the movie spoils the feel factor. It is not decent enough to be engaging. Surya Pratap Palnati has enhanced the writing of Sukumar in parts. However, he couldn’t cover up the crime angle though.

Analysis:

18 Pages is a decent romantic drama that has a crucial crime element to it. While the romantic part passes with flying colors, the crime aspect comes in as a speed breaker. Though the makers tried to be back on track, the film falters. Overall, 18 Pages can be watched once for the feel-good romantic angle in it.

Rating: 2.75/5
