Malayalam Super Star Mohan Lal‘s family thriller Drishyam is going international. Drishyam is a huge hit in the Malayalam industry. It was then the highest-grosser of Malayalam Cinema. The movie which starts as a family entertainer takes up a crime element and moves in with amazing twists to end up as one of the best family thrillers.
Mohan Lal will be seen in the role of George Kutty. Apart from Malayalam, Drishyam and its subsequent sequel Drishyam 2 were remade into several Indian languages including Telugu and Hindi. Now, both films will be remade into several international languages including English.
Panorama Studios International LTD acquires the Malayalam language remake rights in all non-Indian languages including Filipino, Sinhala, and Indonesian. In the official media statement, the production house mentioned that “We have also acquired the rights of #Chinese language remake of #Drishyam2. We are now in negotiations to produce the film in #Korea, #Japan, and #Hollywood.”
