Ayushmann Khurrana has played the lead role in the movie Anek. The movie’s trailer got released today and it touched on the current Hindi language controversy. The movie is about the least concentrated states combinedly called, “North-East India”. Ayushmann Khurrana works for peace in the region where the armed forces and the separatists fight for their supremacy.
There is also a boxing backdrop in the movie. The most interesting debate in the trailer is at the end where the lead and JD Chakravarthy spoke about which region they are from. JD Chakravarthy says that he is from Telangana, South India. JD predicts that Ayushmann is from North India as his Hindi is nice.
Then Ayushmann questions and Hindi decides whether a person is from North India or South India. JD answers No. “It’s not about Hindi either,” says Ayushmann in the trailer.
Anek will be released on 27th May 2022. Anubhav Sinha has directed the movie.
