Golden Globe Awards are one of the most prestigious TV series and movie awards in the US. It is for the first time that a Korean actor has won this prestigious award. Squid Game is one of the most popular TV series that was released last year and Oh Young-Soo who played the supporting role in this series has won the Best Supporting Actor award.
Lee Jung-Jae who was also nominated, however, failed to grab the prestigious award. The 79th Golden Globe Awards held at Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles was a grand gala event.
Oh Young-Soo was elated with him being elected for the role. “When I heard the news of the award, I told myself, “I am such a good guy” for the first time. Korea is no more in the world, but now, the world is in Korea,” said the actor.
