Prabhas’ starrer Adipurush was released in the theaters on June 16th and the movie has received mixed responses. While some have liked the modern version of Ramayana, many have found fault in dealing with the epic masterclass. The deviations and their own interpretation of Ramayana haven’t been liked by the audiences at all.

While the debate is going on about whether the makers of Adipurush followed the Valmiki Ramayana, the Adipurush writer has made a shocking revelation. Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir stated that Adipurush is not Ramayana. Yes, it sounds surprising but the revelation has been made by the writer himself. The makers of Adipurush promoted the film Ramayana. The song Jai Sreeram depicts the same, and the character designs show the same, even though the names are different, even the promotional strategy of leaving one seat in every theater for Lord Hanuman means the same. Adipurush is the modern retake of Ramayana.

However, Manoj says that they got heavily inspired by Vanavas and Yuddhakand of Ramayana but Adipurush is not Ramayana says the writer.
