Om Raut, the director of Tanhaji announced the film Adi Purush a couple of years ago with Prabhas in the lead role. The director took more than a year to wrap up the production. The post-production formalities for this VFX-based project are taking a lot of time. Nevertheless, the team is striving hard for the movie to be getting released this year.
Om Raut in the recent interview has revealed interesting aspects of the movie. “Adi Purush is set up 7,000 years ago. It is the adaptation of Ramayana. Prabhas will be called Raghav, another name for Rama. Kriti Sanon plays Sita and her character’s name is Janaki. Saif Ali Khan’s role of Ravana will be Lankesh. After I thought of making this movie, Prabhas is the person in my mind and I believed only he can pull this character,” he said.
Om Raut said that the movie was shot in both Hindi and Telugu. It is being dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Produced by T series and Retrophiles, this movie’s budget crossed 400 Crores.
