Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is scheduled for release on February 25th. The movie has been carrying superb buzz, especially after the release of the trailer. This Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial trailer has fetched a superb response. Alia Bhatt in particular is astonishing and perfectly fitted the character.
However, Gangubai Kathiawadi has landed in legal soup. Gangubai’s adopted son Babu Raoji Shah and her granddaughter Bharti are furious with the way Gangubai’s character is shown in the movie.
Babu Raoji has said that her mother has been showcased as a prostitute in the film. In real life, she is not said Babu Raoji. He has also said that ever since the film was announced on her they have been shifting homes. “We have been facing questions about Gangubai from all corners regarding her profession. They are asking on face whether she was a prostitute in real life. Our mental state has been affected due to this movie,” he said.
Bharti said that the producers didn’t take their consent before making this film. They changed the facts in greed of money, she alleged.
