Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 has been postponed many times. Karthikeya 2 was initially scheduled for July 22nd release. However, the movie succumbed to pressures from outside. Nikhil said that a few people pressurized them to postpone the film stating that he will not get the right amount of theaters as he is an outsider.
Karthikeya 2 was then announced for August 5th release. However, Sita Ramam and Bimbisara were scheduled for the same release dates, so Karthikeya 2 has to be postponed yet again. The film was then scheduled for August 12th release. The promotions are in full swing. The problem with this date is, that it is clashing directly with Nithiin’s Macherla Niyoajakavargam.
It is said that there is pressure on Nikhil again to postpone the film. Karthikeya 2 might get postponed to August 13th. Actually, it is not a bad idea to postpone as there will not be a direct clash and also, the film might cash in the Independence Day holiday advantage as well.
