The debate on the national media’s ignorance of South Indian actors has sparked yet again. One of the most reputed media agencies CNN has termed Mahesh a Kannada actor. This shows how ignorant the national media is in terms of South Indian actors. Super Star Mahesh Babu is a top star in the Telugu States. He has an immense craze down south and is known well in the Northern circuits as well. He has endorsed a couple of national brands.
Yet, the media channel’s ignorance of Mahesh’s origin calls him a Kannada star. The channel has been continuing its debate on Mahesh’s Bollywood comments which has created a rage.
This is not the first time that the national media is ignorant of south stars. A couple of years back, when Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away, some of the national media channels posted Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s photo. A little homework will definitely help the cause dear national media.
