Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw today became the second-highest individual scorer in the Ranji Trophy. On Day 2, in the Ranji Trophy match, against Assam, Prithvi Shaw smashed 379 off 383 and was only 21 runs short of the 400-milestone mark. Thus, he became the second-highest individual scorer. He has also become the third opener and ninth overall to reach 350 runs.
Prithvi Shaw surpassed the 32-year-old record of 377 runs which was the best score by a Mumbai batter. He was finally trapped LBW by Riyan Parag. In total, Shaw hit 49 fours and 4 sixes in his record-breaking score.
Mumbai has declared their innings at 687 for the loss of four wickets. Rahane who scored 191 runs missed the double-century by just 9 runs.
