When Hardik Pandya was retained by Gujarat Titans yesterday, everyone was surprised. There were strong speculations that Hardik Pandya would be traded to Mumbai Indians back, where he started his IPL journey. It is said that the transaction amount of Rs. 15 Crores and other undisclosed amounts made Gujarat Titans initiate the deal.
However, GT has retained Hardik Pandya. Here one must understand that retaining Hardik Pandya was essential for both Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians as by not retaining him, he will go for auction.
So, GT has retained him and as per the inside sources, the trading process has already been completed. In all possibilities, Hardik Pandya will play for Mumbai Indians the next season. Mumbai Indians on the other hand has completed yet another trade. They traded Australian allrounder Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore. By trading Green to Mumbai Indians they have got an additional Rs. 17.50 Crores to their purse.
