Sunrisers Hyderabad managed only the last spot in the last year’s IPL. The team has gone for a complete revamp apart from some of their key players. Still, this year’s campaign ended up with an embarrassing loss. SRH is the first team in this year’s IPL to fail to chase the target.

Batting first Rajasthan Royals had got a beautiful start. SRH bowlers bowled plenty of no-balls which didn’t help their cause either. All the Rajasthan batters strike the ball quite comprehensively. While Buttler, Jaiswal had got started, it is Samson, Padikkal’s partnership that changed the course. Samson scored 55 in just 27 balls and Padikkal scored 41 in just 29 balls. Hetmyer gave the finishing touches with 32 runs in 13 balls. The score soars up to 210 runs.

In reply, SRH has got to a miserable start. It is IPL’s lowest Powerplay score as SRH has only managed 14 runs in 6 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Apart from Markram and Washington Sundar, nobody has applied themselves. Finally, RR has won by a huge margin of 61 runs. Sanju Samson was adjudged Player of the Match.
