Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in IPL history, the only team with 5 IPL trophies have now been at the bottom of the table. Mumbai Indians have comprehensively lost against Punjab Kings. It is the same old story for Mumbai Indians. Bowlers bowled without any conviction. They faltered in the death overs. The openers have got starts but couldn’t utilize it.
The only change in this match is the U-19 stars Tilak Varma and Dewald Brevis. Especially, the South African youngster, who is being referred to as Baby AB has shown his specialty. He has taken Rahul Chahar to the cleaners. He has scored 28 runs in his first over. Tilak Varma has shown he can become a reliable batsman if groomed properly.
Other than these, Mumbai Indians batting looked flat. They are missing the spark this season. With 5 losses in 5 games, it will be tough for them going forward.
