Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi played the lead roles in the movie Virata Parvam. Venu Udugula has directed this hard-hitting, intense love drama which is set up in the 90s Naxal backdrop. Virata Parvam was released today in the theaters.

Story:
Virata Parvam is the story of Vennela (Sai Pallavi). She borns amid a huge breakout between Naxals and the Police. Vennela gets inspired by Ravanna’s (Rana Daggubati) ideology. She reads his books and falls in love with him. Being inspired, she joins Naxal and proposes to Ravanna.

Will he accept her love? What happens to their journey forms the crux of the story.

Performances:
Sai Pallavi is the heart and soul of Virata Parvam. She excelled in the role of Vennela. She lived in the character and no words can describe what justice she has done to the character.

Rana Daggubati has done complete justice to the character. His appearance and his diction have made Ravanna’s character lively. He is commendable.

There are other important characters like Zarina Wahab, Priyamani, Naveen Chandra, Eshwari Rao, Sai Chand, Nandita Das, Rahul Ramakrishna, and others who have done complete justice to their roles.

Technicalities:
Suresh Bobbili should be commended for the work he has done in Virata Parvam. All the songs are passable on screen and he has excelled with his BGM work. The editing is fine. The cinematography artwork is decent. The forest backdrop and the night effect are captured in a nice way.

The production values are decent for a mid-budget flick. Coming to Venu Udugula, he has done a nice job when it comes to writing. The dialogues are hard-hitting and thought-provoking. His direction is flawless and doesn’t deviate from the core point. He should be appreciated for that.

Analysis:
Virata Parvam is a hard-hitting, raw, and emotional love tale. The Naxal backdrop is utilized very well. However, the lack of universal appeal and limited reach might hinder the box office prospects. Overall, it is a decent one-time watch.
