The Ghost review – not so engaging

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Praveen Sattaru have teamed up for the slick action thriller The Ghost. The combination itself is engaging and the promos are promising. Let us check out the review.

Story:
Vikram (Nagarjuna), an interpol cop is on a mission to safeguard a high-profile family with their daughter.
Who is after them? Who is The Ghost? What is Vikram’s past? forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Akkineni Nagarjuna is perfect in the role of an Interpol officer. He is superb in action sequences as well. His body language is well suited for the role he portrayed.
Sonal Chauhan plays the female lead. She is surprisingly good at sequences. Gul Panag and Manish Chaudhary played crucial roles but their character isn’t designed properly. Srikanth Iyengar and Ravi Varma are okay in parts. Anikha Surendran is alright.
Technicalities:
Mark K Robin’s background music is cool. He tried to elevate sequences that are just about okay. Bharat Saurabh’s music is not up to the mark. The action sequences for most parts seem fine.
The production values are good. Praveen Sattaru is known for his different taking. But with The Ghost, he will not impress you completely. He starts the movie on a bright note, however, it fizzles out soon and everything seemed out of place. The narration is lacklustre.
Analysis:
Praveen Sattaru picks an interesting concept but failed to make any impact. The screenplay in the film is uninteresting. There is nativity missing in the proceedings. Only Nagarjuna is the saving grace in this not-so-engaging thriller.
Rating: 2.5/5
