The election commission is going to issue a notification regarding the Rajya Sabha elections on May 24th. The polls will be conducted on June 10th for the 57 seats that are going to be vacated. From the Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh would have elections for four seats and Telangana would have polls for 2 seats.
Suresh Prabhu, Y S Chowdary, T G Venkatesh and V Vijayasai Reddy, D Srinivas, and Capt V Lakshmikanatha Rao from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are going to retire and the elections will take place for these vacant seats.
YSRCP has already made it clear that they are going to send Vijayasai Reddy for one more term. Beeda Mastan Rao from Nellore will get a chance as well and the name is announced. Film Producer Niranjan Reddy will get the third vacant seat and sources say that the fourth vacant position will be filled by industrialist Gautham Adani’s wife Priti Adani.
Sources say that YS Jagan has offered RS seat to Mega Star Chiranjeevi but the actor has smoothly declined the offer stating that he is out of politics.
