Sensational: TDP’s Anuradha Panchumarthi surprise win in MLC elections

An unexpected win happened in the MLA quota MLC elections. Telugu Desam Party candidate Anuradha Panchumarthi, as per the reports, won the MLC seat. For an MLC to win the elections, he/she needs to get the voting of at least 22 MLAs. Telugu Desam Party had 23 MLAs after the 2019 elections but four of the MLAs changed their loyalties so the count dropped to 19.

However, Kotamreddy and Anam who expressed their dissent against the ruling might vote for the TDP which will only reach 21. But giving a huge shock to YSRCP and Jagan, it is said that Anuradha won the MLC seat with 23 votes which means cross-voting happened for 2 MLA votes.

It is a masterstroke from Telugu Desam Party. However, an official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
